World cup tickets to high

According to a recent investigation carried out by BBC Wales, Derek Wyatt MP, has said that ticket prices for this year’s rugby world cup are too expensive and that the percentage of tickets allocated to the corporate sector are too high.

As with many sports, allocation of tickets to large multi-national companies has increased over the past few years spurred on by “fat cats” attempting to “woo” potential clients by bringing them to the world’s hottest sporting events. While that’s great for large companies and the I.R.B the real fans continue to loose out.

There has also been a monetary swell for Rugby world cup tickets as organizers get greedy and see the money to be made in overpricing tickets and taking advantage of loyal fans. The IRB coffers continue to grow as this world cup looks to be the most lucrative in the events history.
